Grilling the Chancellor

Twice a year, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, comes to the Treasury Select Committee to face a 2-hour grilling from MPs. So, Siobhain got the rare opportunity of being able to question the Chancellor, leaving him no chance of escape. 

Siobhain took him to task on his appalling record in Government. Under his watch, taxes have risen to their highest level since WW2, and living standards have fallen by 3%. It is the first Parliament EVER where households have been poorer at the end than at its’ start.
