Have you had your Covid jabs?

As I write this, coronavirus cases are soaring across London with the new ‘Omicron’ variant spreading faster than any of its predecessors.

97% of Covid patients in South West London hospitals have not been fully vaccinated (including their booster). There has never been a more important time to get your jab.

Vaccines in the UK have prevented at least 24 million infections, hundreds of thousands of hospitalisations and almost 130,000 deaths. The best gift for you and your loved ones is the jab.

Given how quickly the new variant is spreading and because of the importance of a booster for protection, vaccine hubs are being urgently expanded across our community. Don’t worry if you haven’t had your first jab yet, you haven’t missed your chance. There are a number of hubs in our local area including the Wilson Hospital in Mitcham, Morden Assembly Hall, Pearl Chemist in Tooting, the Nelson and Centre Court Shopping Centre in Wimbledon, Central Shopping Central and the Mayday Pharmacy in Croydon and St Nicholas Shopping Centre in Sutton. You can book a fixed time and avoid queuing by visiting www.nhs.uk/book-a-coronavirus-vaccination or by calling 119.
