Morden Little League's Half Century!

My huge congratulations to the wonderful Morden Little League celebrating their remarkable 50^th Anniversary – and for their recent awarding of a £1,000 grant from the ‘Cash 4 Clubs’ scheme.

For half a century, youngsters of all abilities have taken to the pitch each weekend to enjoy the friendship, community and team spirit that the wonderful game provides. That’s 50 years of muddy boots and diving saves, flicks, tricks and wonder goals, team talks and celebrations. I wonder how many of our friends and neighbours have crossed the Little League touchline over that time?

I was delighted to nominate the Little League to receive 50 tickets to Wembley to see England v USA in celebration of this incredible anniversary.

To the volunteers, players, parents, referees, managers, trainers and all involved, congratulations on this landmark year and here’s to 50 more years of the fantastic Morden Little League!
